Valmet Partners with Yusen Group to Boost Tissue Production

In a significant development in the tissue paper production industry, Valmet has agreed to supply three state-of-the-art IntelliTissue 1600 machines to Yusen Group. This order focuses on the company’s mills located in Tai'an, Liaoning Province, and Chongxin, Gansu Province in China. This recent investment signifies not just the fourth consecutive order from Yusen to Valmet but also underscores a robust partnership that has already led to the successful startup of nine IntelliTissue machines in Yusen's operations.

Aiming for High Standards in Production

Yusen Group’s decision to continue collaborating with Valmet stems from the impressive performance of the IntelliTissue lines already in use. The previous installations showcased low energy consumption, high efficiency, and exceptional reliability, which have contributed significantly to Yusen’s ability to deliver premium facial and toilet tissue in the Chinese market. This expansion is pivotal as Yusen aims to increase its production capacity, especially targeting the high-quality segment of the tissue product market.

Details of the New Machines

The newly ordered IntelliTissue machines are designed with a width of 3,500 mm and a remarkable production speed of 1,650 m/min, with each unit projected to attain an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes. They are specifically engineered to manufacture tissue paper within a basis weight range of 10-25 g/m², suitable for a variety of high-end applications. The supply package includes not only the machines but also essential mechanical drive systems, steam and condensate arrangements, and various auxiliary systems necessary for integrated operation. Furthermore, Valmet commits to providing crucial installation, startup, and commissioning guidance to ensure a smooth transition and operational efficiency.
