AdvanCell Leases Entire 128,000 Square Foot Building at IQHQ's Innovation Park in Andover, Massachusetts

In a significant development for the life sciences sector, AdvanCell has officially signed a long-term lease for a complete, freshly constructed 128,000 square foot building located at 1 Corporate Drive, nestled within IQHQ's Innovation Park in Andover, Massachusetts. This lease marks one of the largest life science leases in the Greater Boston area this year and fulfills the leasing status of the newly constructed Phase 2 of the Innovation Park, now fully occupied.

The Ideal Location for Life Science Innovations

AdvanCell's choice to establish its headquarters at Innovation Park reflects the area’s appeal, underpinned by its robust infrastructure and access to skilled talent from both Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire. Andover’s designation as a Platinum BioReady municipality by MassBio is a testament to its readiness and suitability for advanced life sciences operations. The park showcases extensive, high-quality amenities including a café, fitness center, EV charging stations, and comprehensive facility management and security, making it a prime spot for companies in the life sciences field.

AdvanCell is positioned to join other notable life science companies within the park, including Generate Biomedicines, Inc., which recently recognized immense success following their IPO.

AdvanCell's Mission and Growth Strategy

AdvanCell is a clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical organization focused on pioneering targeted alpha therapies for cancer patients. Its primary clinical product, known as ²¹²Pb-ADVC001 (ADVC001), is designed specifically for prostate cancer treatment—a condition characterized by a staggering number of yearly diagnoses and fatalities in the U.S., reaching about 300,000 and 35,000 respectively.

The Andover facility will play a crucial role in supporting AdvanCell's growth trajectory as they advance ADVC001 towards late-stage development while scaling up their proprietary Lead-212 manufacturing processes necessary for Phase 3 clinical trials and future commercial production. Dayle Hogg, AdvanCell's Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that the new site serves as a foundational base for the company’s growth, supporting their commitment to delivering cutting-edge cancer treatments.

Infrastructure and Future Prospects

IQHQ's Innovation Park, sprawling over 340,000 square feet, not only possesses the required infrastructure for life sciences but also offers a conducive ecosystem for innovation and collaboration. Presently, IQHQ boasts one last available space of roughly 137,000 square feet at Innovation Park, a fully outfitted cGMP compliant area featuring clean rooms, laboratories, offices, and support spaces tailored for integrated life science manufacturing.

This availability on 4 Corporate Drive presents an unparalleled speed-to-market advantage for prospective tenants seeking an operational facility that requires no substantial initial investment.

A Commitment to Partnership

IQHQ is enthusiastic about the partnership with AdvanCell, as expressed by TJ Silvey, the Chief Investment Officer of IQHQ, who remarked on the expertise and extensive experience of AdvanCell's leadership in the field of radioligand therapy. This partnership not only facilitates AdvanCell's growth in a robust location but also emphasizes IQHQ's mission to support innovative life sciences companies through the provision of capital and tailored space conducive to scientific advancement.

As both companies embark on this journey, their collaboration is anticipated to yield significant advancements in the life sciences realm, especially in the development of innovative therapeutic options for cancer patients. Their presence at the Innovation Park heralds a promising future for life sciences in Andover, paving the way for further advancements in therapeutic technology and manufacturing capabilities.
