BanG Dream! Girls Band Party 8.5th Anniversary Updates

As we celebrate the 8.5th anniversary of BanG Dream! Girls Band Party (also known as Garupa), there are numerous exciting updates, campaigns, and new artist collaborations to look forward to. On September 4, 2025, during the 279th episode of BanG Dream! TV LIVE, the new updates were unveiled by Bushiroad, the game's publisher, based in Nakano, Tokyo. Let's dive into all the new features and celebration campaigns planned for this milestone!

New Features for the 8.5th Anniversary

Enhanced Live Settings

The game will introduce new options to tweak the speed of rhythm icons and their display positions, allowing for a more personalized gameplay experience. Additionally, a new function will allow players to adjust the timing of judgments, splitting the adjustment into two categories for greater precision.

Bulk Mission Collection Feature

A new button will be added to the character selection and mission details screens, enabling players to collect completed character missions all at once. This feature simplifies the process considerably by allowing players to gather rewards for all band members in one go, rather than individually.

Existing Functionality Improvements

• - Clear Rank Adjustment Feature: In cooperative and team live performances, the clear rank will now automatically adjust based on the number of users who disconnected during gameplay.
• - Buddy Invitation Dismissal Feature: If a buddy has not played a live session for over 14 days, players can easily dismiss their buddy from the mission screen.

Other Exciting Updates

1. New Character Dialogues: More interactions among band members will be included during area conversations and live performances, enhancing the overall experience.
2. Title Screen Improvements: The title screen will operate at 60 FPS, and there will be enhancements to the resolution of the title logo.
3. Live Operation Modes for Past Limited Skins: Players can now enjoy different live modes while using previous limited skins, including Live2D mode and Lightweight mode.
4. Refined Title Selection Tabs: The title selection menu will see a split in the events tab for better organization.

Anniversary Celebration Campaigns

Login Campaigns

Kicking off on September 10, 2025, a special Login Campaign will reward players with various items, including 3,500 stars and 100 sound crystals on the first day. Log in for a total of 21 days during the campaign to earn a grand total of 8,500 stars and more rewards!

Free Gacha Opportunities

The 10 free gacha draws per day during the anniversary period between September 10 and October 10, 2025, will give players a chance to draw up to 100 times without spending any in-game currency.

Item Exchange Campaign

Players will accumulate Anniversary Medals by logging in and completing live performances. These can be exchanged for exclusive items, enhancing the gameplay experience.

Dream & Sparkle Festival Gacha

From September 10, a Dream & Sparkle Festival Gacha will be launched with increased rates for ★4 and ★5 members. Not only will new limited members be featured, but also previous limited festival members will be available as well. Noteworthy characters like ★5 Toto Yamakasumi and ★5 Minato Yukina will make their debut!
