The company successfully conducted an extreme drop test from the near space, reaching an altitude of 30,607 meters (100,416 feet) at the Esrange Space Center in Sweden. This impressive drop resulted in a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for "The highest mobile drop with a case (natural terrain)."

This extraordinary challenge was designed to put AirX's protective capabilities to the ultimate test, proving that high-performance protection does not come at the cost of a sustainable design. Made from a single material and fully recyclable, the AirX case establishes a new benchmark for space-grade protection in mobile cases.

Testing Methodology

The drop test commenced with an iPhone 17 Pro encased in an AirX, which was released from a high-altitude balloon. The goal was to analyze the case's performance under extreme conditions, including low temperatures ranging from -40 °C to -60 °C and atmospheric pressure at approximately 1% of sea level. During the 25-minute ascent to the stratosphere, no additional heating or protective measures were employed, leaving AirX vulnerable to the harsh environment.

Following the mechanism's activation, the phone embarked on its free fall towards Earth. This was a high-risk endeavor, subjecting the device to not only the cold but also extreme pressures and high-speed impacts.

Successful Recovery and Performance

Once the mobile device landed, it was tracked using GPS to a remote area in Sweden, where it was retrieved successfully. The results were astounding: all essential functions of the mobile were intact; it could power on and off, make calls, and take photos, all while the exterior remained unscathed. An official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ judge confirmed this outcome, asserting that the innovative multi-layered protection system in AirX effectively absorbed impacts and dispersed energy, minimizing the risk of internal damage.
