Sinch Welcomes Jonas Dahlberg as Acting CEO to Propel Growth and Transformation Efforts

Sinch Welcomes Jonas Dahlberg as Acting CEO

In a significant leadership transition, Sinch AB (publ) has named Jonas Dahlberg as its acting Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. This move follows the recent announcement of Laurinda Pang's resignation, and aims to steer the company towards its next phase of execution and growth.

The decision, announced on June 8, 2026, comes after extensive discussions among the Sinch Board of Directors, Laurinda, and Jonas. The Board expressed confidence that Dahlberg's appointment as acting CEO would effectively support Sinch's momentum towards continued growth. Erik Fröberg, Chairman of the Board, noted, "Sinch has transformed into a more profitable business over the past few years. This leadership transition is poised to build upon that momentum."

Jonas Dahlberg is no stranger to Sinch; he joined as the Chief Financial Officer in April 2025. He brings a wealth of leadership experience in the tech-enabled services sector, having previously served as CEO and CFO of Transcom, a global customer experience outsourcing company. His background includes executive roles at Sweco, a leading European engineering consultancy, and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Dahlberg holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, making him well-equipped to take on this new challenge.

"Under Laurinda's leadership, Sinch has emerged as a leading global cloud communications platform. We are now well-positioned to accelerate growth within the AI economy's customer communication infrastructure," expressed Dahlberg. He echoed eagerness to collaborate with the talented team at Sinch to drive innovation, enhance customer value, and deliver shareholder returns.

Former CEO Laurinda Pang shared her pride in the accomplishments achieved during her tenure, highlighting the transformation from standalone acquisitions to an integrated company that has bolstered profitability and rekindled growth. "Jonas is ideally positioned to take Sinch into the future. I fully support this transition," she stated.

While Dahlberg steps into this acting role, Pang will continue to support Sinch until a permanent successor is appointed, but not later than December 31, 2026.

This leadership transition at Sinch comes at a pivotal moment, as the company seeks to strengthen its position in a rapidly evolving market. The integration of advanced technology with customer communication services demonstrates Sinch's commitment to innovation and responsiveness to market demands.

In summary, the appointment of Jonas Dahlberg as acting CEO marks a new chapter for Sinch as it navigates its growth strategies and looks to solidify its standing as a leader in the cloud communications space. With the support of an executive team that prioritizes growth and innovation, Sinch is setting the stage to meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
