Savory Delights Await at Kitasenju Marui
From December 3 to December 9, Kitasenju Marui will host a special event called "Tohoku, Ii Ichi" which highlights the exquisite sweets of the Tohoku region in Japan. Located in the spacious Calendarium 3 on the second floor, this pop-up market is a collaboration with the Sendai City Industrial Promotion Organization. It aims to bring the best of Tohoku's culinary charm to metropolitan Tokyo.
What is "Tohoku, Ii Ichi"?
"Tohoku, Ii Ichi" translates to an "excellent market of Tohoku" and showcases a variety of outstanding local products. This market is inspired by the traditional goods and crafts exhibition called "Ii Ichi"—a heartfelt initiative where local vendors get to interact directly with consumers. The event is crafted to allow attendees to taste, touch, and engage with the products, thus deepening their understanding and appreciation of Tohoku's finest goods.
By featuring a selection of popular sweets, Kitasenju Marui invites customers from the region to experience the unique delights of Tohoku, enriching their culinary journey.
