ZTE's Participation at GSMA M360 LATAM 2026: Revolutionizing Future Business Models with AI and Network Integration

ZTE's Role in Redefining Business Models at GSMA M360 LATAM 2026

At the recent GSMA M360 LATAM 2026 conference in Mexico, ZTE Corporation, a global leader in integrated information and communication technology solutions, showcased its innovative approach towards transforming business models through the bidirectional integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and networks. The event saw an insightful presentation by Ms. Chen Zhiping, ZTE's Chief International Representative, who addressed the urgent need for the telecommunications sector to adapt to rapid changes driven by AI advancements.

Emphasizing the Importance of AI

In her speech titled “Driving Future Business Model Restructuring — AI Network Two-Way Integration,” Ms. Chen delved into how the intertwining of AI and networking can drastically enhance efficiency and optimize operational models. Reflecting on ZTE's contributions over the last two decades in Latin America, she highlighted the company’s commitment to guiding local operators through strategic transformations from traditional connectivity providers to facilitators of the digital economy.

As the industry faces an AI revolution, ZTE laid out a comprehensive strategic vision aimed at reinforcing its leadership in connectivity and intelligent computing by 2025. This vision is not only integral to ZTE's corporate strategy but aligns with the core themes of GSMA’s current discussions.

Innovating Network Infrastructure

ZTE is dedicated to evolving beyond conventional network connectivity services. The company is enhancing network capabilities and expanding into AI-driven and intelligent computing operations. One of the remarkable aspects presented was ZTE’s AI-native network concept, which integrates AI capabilities within all layers and processes of the network. This optimization leads to substantial cost efficiencies for operators.

For instance, ZTE's latest 5G Baseband Unit (BBU) is equipped with intelligent native computing capabilities, resulting in a massive 20% increase in cell throughput while simultaneously reducing energy consumption by 38% through the combination of high-performance Super-N amplifiers and intelligent optimization technologies.

This technology has been successfully deployed across various Latin American countries, including Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru, with over 37,000 Active Antenna Units (AAUs) and Remote Radio Units (RRUs) installed, enabling significant savings in electricity costs and eco-friendly network upgrades.

Future-Forward Network Solutions

Furthermore, leveraging the AI-native technology, ZTE introduced the AIR Net advanced intelligent network solution, which facilitates the commercial deployment of autonomous operations for networks. This revolutionary approach is set to transform operational and maintenance models, thereby lowering the total cost of ownership for network operators. The credibility of ZTE's intelligent network capabilities is bolstered by a Level L4 certification from the TM Forum, along with a successful internal implementation of their intelligent agent Co-Claw, enhancing network automation and intelligence.

ZTE is also addressing the diverse networking challenges faced in the Latin American landscape with tailored coverage solutions. For indoor scenarios, they collaborated with Chilean firm Millicom to deploy the Qcell solution, ensuring stable gigabit coverage across buildings. In remote rural areas, they partnered with Brazilian company Claro to launch the cost-effective and maintainable RuralPilot network solution, tackling coverage challenges in the expansive Amazon region. Additionally, ZTE is offering a range of residential coverage solutions that precisely meet the unique networking needs of various regions in Latin America.

Commitment to the Latin American Market

As Ms. Chen concluded, ZTE is committed to maintaining and enhancing its presence in the Latin American market, focused on the continuous integration and innovation of AI and network solutions. The company's ultimate goal is to assist local operators in their strategic transformations to truly facilitate the digital economy. ZTE aims to ensure that the diverse needs of both industries and families are met, fostering a collaborative effort to build an intelligent, inclusive, and sustainable digital ecosystem in Latin America.

With its focus on green, efficient, and intelligent solutions, ZTE stands at the forefront of transforming how services are delivered and how businesses will operate in the future, making a significant impact on the technological advancements and economic growth of the region.
