This includes a spacious dining room, an activity room for various pursuits, and a sensory room that incorporates advanced technology alongside familiar items to promote tranquility. Also featured is a dedicated theater space and a sunlit courtyard that offers a safe outdoor retreat.

Debbie Infield, the Executive Director of Walnut Village, highlights the community's commitment to person-centered care. She believes Summer House not only prioritizes the comfort of its residents but also recognizes the essential relationships that contribute to a supportive living environment.

Infield explains, "By incorporating our Six Senses of Caring Relationships approach, we focus on the interconnections between residents, their families, and the dedicated staff who provide care daily. This holistic perspective ensures that we celebrate not just the quality of life for our residents, but also for their families and caregivers, shaping an integrative support system."

Fun and Engaging Activities

To ensure an enriching experience for residents, Summer House will offer a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing cognitive function, social interaction, and emotional well-being. The programming will be adaptive, catering to the varying levels of dementia while providing opportunities to engage both independently and within community settings.

An Environment Built for Connection

Walnut Village prides itself as a Front Porch Community, which emphasizes the importance of forming genuine connections among residents, staff, and families. The design of Summer House supports both privacy and community interactions, allowing residents to enjoy their personal space while still being part of a lively neighborhood atmosphere.
