Hummel and 1. FC Köln Unite for Tokyo Pride 2025 Charity Event

Hummel and 1. FC Köln Celebrate Diversity at Tokyo Pride 2025

The Danish sports brand Hummel is back for its fifth consecutive year at Tokyo Pride, this time partnering with the renowned German football club, 1. FC Köln. Held in Yoyogi Park on June 7-8, this year’s festivities aim to spotlight the celebration of diversity and inclusion through sports.

On the first day of the event, attendees were greeted with an exciting FootGolf activity at Hummel's booth, featuring players from 1. FC Köln, including the visit from Tobias Trautner. Visitors were delighted to engage with him and learn more about the collaboration. One dialogue highlights the curious response of German participants: “Why Köln here in Japan?” This leads to meaningful discussions on Hummel and 1. FC Köln's commitment to inclusivity, both in Germany and Japan.

In line with its ethos of promoting diversity, Hummel is not only showcasing sports but also supporting charity initiatives. A portion of the sales from colorful rainbow-themed T-shirts will go to the NPO Rainbow Diversity, which works on promoting diversity in Japan. Additionally, a charity auction for diversity jerseys, signed by players, is being conducted on MobaOku, with proceeds again directed to help NPO Rainbow Diversity bolster its ongoing efforts.

June 8 features a continuation of the celebration, running from 11 AM to 6 PM. The day will include a pride parade under the slogan “Same Life, Same Rights.” Hummel’s booth remains a focal point for fun and charity, providing more opportunities to support inclusiveness. The aim is to create an environment where everyone can express their authentic selves and revel in a sense of belonging.

About Tokyo Pride

Starting in 2012, the Tokyo Rainbow Pride has aimed to foster a society where all individuals can live happily, in a way that resonates with their true selves. The festival is a vibrant celebration of diverse sexual identities, promoting the idea that everyone should be respected and celebrated for who they are. The festival in 2025 is set to expand on these ideals with a pride parade and festival events in Yoyogi Park.
