Huawei Cloud Unveils Cutting-Edge AI-Driven Solutions at MWC 2025



On March 2, 2025, in Barcelona, Huawei Cloud hosted its much-anticipated Cloud Summit, under the banner "Accelerating the Development of Intelligent Technologies, Enhancing Efficiency." This event highlighted a series of advanced cloud services and solutions aimed at driving intelligent transformations across various sectors.

The presence of artificial intelligence (AI) is now felt in numerous aspects of our lives, with nations and enterprises recognizing it as a critical strategy to build proprietary models. AI technologies are more accessible, allowing companies to leverage open-source achievements to optimize their operations. Importantly, high-quality data is playing an increasingly vital role in realizing AI's potential.

Jacqueline Shi, President of Global Marketing and Sales Service at Huawei Cloud, reiterated the company’s commitment to utilizing AI as a core strategy. She emphasized the transition from cloud-native to AI-native as Huawei Cloud aims to lead the industry through continuous innovation. Huawei Cloud defines its AI-native strategy in two sectors: “AI for Cloud,” which focuses on transforming and modernizing all Huawei Cloud services into intelligent applications utilizing AI; and “Cloud for AI,” which aims to develop an optimal platform, encompassing the computing architecture, data tools, modeling services, and specialized offerings, to speed up AI development.

Data from 2024 indicates that Huawei Cloud experienced a significant overseas growth of over 50%, positioning it as a preferred partner in digital transformation for numerous organizations, including more than 140 operators and 500 financial institutions. Jacqueline confirmed Huawei Cloud's dedication to upgrading its cloud services and solutions to meet customer demands across industries and to support the development of intelligent technologies.

For operators, Huawei Cloud introduced new connectivity solutions that enhance interactions between applications, stimulating corporate and consumer activities. Government institutions can transition from e-governance to smart management, with Huawei Cloud's Pangu Government Model, aPaaS, and Big Data services assisting administrations in better serving citizens. In the financial sector, Huawei Cloud's Digital Core service replaces mainframe computers, accelerating application modernization while solutions such as big data financial applications bolster intelligent customer service and data analytics.

In the media and entertainment sectors, Huawei Cloud offers intelligent content generation services and user engagement solutions, including CDN, Cloud Live, Cloud Media Edge, and MetaStudio. For retail, the platform aids customers in establishing smart stores, providing real-time data insights, intelligent order forecasting, and digital store assistants. In the automotive industry, Huawei Cloud not only provides leading smart solutions for the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and autonomous driving but also enhances R&D, production, and supply chain management with smart manufacturing solutions.

Bruno Zhang, Chief Technical Officer of Huawei Cloud, shared insights on the migration from cloud-native solutions to AI-native solutions, asserting that the basis for achieving native AI lies in cloud-native foundations. Over recent years, Huawei Cloud has focused on helping enterprises effectively transition to, utilize, and manage cloud services through cloud-native means. On this foundation, Huawei Cloud is currently advancing to create AI-native infrastructure, including CloudMatrix and AI Cloud Services, as well as developing AI-native cloud services such as databases, knowledge lakes, and software development processes, while offering AI models and tools to clients and partners for effective training and deployment.

During MWC 2025, Huawei Cloud introduced a series of cloud services and solutions to the international market, aimed at accelerating the evolution from cloud-native to AI-native. These services include CloudDC, corporate IT migration solutions to cloud, backup continuity centers, disaster recovery systems, security frameworks for large models, multi-layered cloud malware protection structures, GaussDB, TaurusDB, AI cloud services, cloud search capabilities, and cloud devices, including KooVehicle.

In the past year, Huawei Cloud has contributed to the sustainable success of many leading clients through its innovative solutions. Iñaki Fuentes, COO of TravelgateX, shared the development of world-class tourism services utilizing Huawei Cloud's native technologies. TravelgateX adopted Huawei’s cloud-native solution to accelerate development, simplify deployment, and scale its infrastructure, resulting in 20% cost savings and a 35% improvement in overall performance. With the deployed technologies, TravelgateX provided personalized services and made more informed business decisions.

Fajrin Rasyid, Chief Digital Innovation Officer of Telkom Indonesia, announced a strategic cooperation memorandum with Huawei regarding data centers, cloud services, digital technologies, and big data, aiming to become a digital operator for Indonesia’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem. Mustafa Kemal Erișen, IT Head of the Turkish e-commerce operator Hepsiburada, reported significant improvements after migrating its search service to Huawei Cloud, achieving a 50-fold increase in platform capacity, reducing service response time by 95%, and increasing bandwidth utilization by 150%.

The summit featured over 20 joint solutions presented by Huawei Cloud and its partners targeting sectors such as finance, automotive, retail, media, and public services, all designed to expedite digital transformation. Additionally, Huawei Cloud hosted the Cloud Native Elite Club (CNEC) roundtable titled “Accelerating Data and AI Convergence, Developing Diverse AI Capabilities,” where visionary leaders analyzed the foundations required for the AI era and shared best practices for unlocking data value and creating unique assets.
