VinFast Sets New Records in Electric Vehicle Deliveries
In a remarkable announcement this February, VinFast Auto Ltd. revealed they delivered a total of 53,139 electric vehicles (EVs) in the fourth quarter of 2024, marking a staggering 143% increase from the previous quarter and an impressive 342% increase compared to the same quarter last year. This growth not only exceeds the company’s expectations but also highlights VinFast's position as a leading force in the EV market, particularly in their home country of Vietnam.
The company’s accomplishment in Q4 2024 contributed to a cumulative total of 97,399 EVs delivered throughout the entire year, translating to a 192% year-over-year growth that went beyond their target of 80,000 vehicles for 2024. This strong performance is attributed to the rising demand for affordable EV models and shows solid momentum as they prepare for an ambitious 2025.
Moreover, January 2025 was another milestone month for VinFast, with domestic deliveries surpassing 10,000 units. Among their offerings, the VF 3 model led sales with over 4,000 units, followed closely by the VF 5 with 3,300 units sold. The company also achieved notable success in the two-wheeler category, delivering 31,170 e-scooters and e-bikes in Q4 2024 alone, which is a 65% increase from the previous quarter and 41% increase year-over-year.
