CISCE 2025 Witnesses Significant Rise in American Participation
The third annual China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), held from July 16 to 20 in Beijing, has reported a remarkable 15% increase in the number of American exhibitors compared to last year. This surge not only highlights the growing interest but also reinforces the expo's standing as a premier platform for global communication and cooperation in supply chain development.
Michael Hart, the President of AmCham China, praised the CISCE for fostering collaboration and innovation that transcends borders. He stated, “The supply chain exhibition is a formidable platform for communication and cooperation.” Notably, 60% of the participating American exhibitors are from companies listed in the Fortune Global 500, which underscores the event's significance in attracting major players in the industry. Furthermore, NVIDIA, a leading American technology firm, made its debut at this year's expo, adding to the high-profile representation.
Yu Jianlong, the vice president of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), emphasized the event's importance in enhancing economic ties between the United States and China. He remarked, “The relationship between China and the United States is built on people-to-people connections.” At this critical juncture, both Chinese and American businesses are taking tangible steps to strengthen supply chain collaboration, ensuring its stability and fluidity on a global scale.
This year also marks AmCham China's first participation in the CISCE with its own exhibition booth, collaborating with member companies to showcase innovative solutions and foster partnerships. Michael Hart highlighted AmCham China’s 2025 Navigator program, launched during last year's expo, which focuses on developing leadership in supply chain management and partnerships with Chinese centers.
Shandong's Vital Role in Global Supply Chain Resilience
Hart also recognized the province of Shandong as a crucial player in the resilience of the global supply chain. Since the first American investment in Shandong in 1986, nearly 1,000 American enterprises have established a presence in the province, making it a major partner in bilateral trade. “Shandong is one of China's most dynamic provinces, excelling in manufacturing, agriculture, port logistics, and new energies,” he noted. Its strong industrial ecosystem, efficient infrastructure, and skilled workforce have attracted numerous AmCham China member companies to set up production bases and regional centers there.
The CISCE continues to be an essential platform for global supply chain cooperation, providing businesses with opportunities to explore new collaborations and stimulate economic growth. The expo showcases innovations in supply chain management and encourages stronger partnerships across borders.
