Sue Noack Elected Chair of MTC
In a unanimous decision, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) recently appointed Sue Noack, a member of the Pleasant Hill City Council, as the new Chair for a two-year term. This significant role will see her leading the regional planning and coordination of transportation efforts in the San Francisco Bay Area until February 2027.
Noack has built a robust career in local governance, having first been elected to the Pleasant Hill City Council in 2014. Her previous terms as Mayor in both 2016 and 2021 exemplify her strong commitment to public service. Before becoming the Chair of MTC, she contributed as the Vice Chair of the Commission’s Regional Network Management Committee, showcasing her experience and dedication to advancing transportation solutions.
Educated at Bucknell University, Noack earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1981.
