Explore The Future of Japanese Music at 22nd TIMM with Leading Industry Voices

Tokyo International Music Market: 22nd Edition

The Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM) is set to hold its 22nd edition this year in Shibuya, known as the 'Music Town.' Scheduled for three days from November 4 (Tuesday) to November 6 (Thursday), this prominent event focuses on expanding the overseas reach of Japanese music with an array of activities including business negotiations, networking, showcase performances, and seminars.

A significant highlight of this year’s TIMM is the keynote talk scheduled for November 5 at 14:15. The session will feature Hikaru Hidaka, the CEO of BMSG, who is recognized for his diverse contributions as an artist, producer, and label representative. He will reflect on his career journey while discussing the potential of Japanese music and the upcoming generation of artists in the global market.

Hikaru Hidaka has a rich background, having started as a member of the popular group AAA before transitioning to a successful solo career that includes performances on international stages. His company, BMSG, stands out with its 'GROWTH5' strategy, aiming to nurture and promote the talents of tomorrow while expanding the influence of Japan's music culture on a global scale.

This keynote session promises to be an invaluable opportunity for those in the next generation of the music industry to learn from Hikaru’s experiences and get insights on what’s necessary to achieve global dreams in a rapidly changing music landscape. Attendees will gain perspective on the realities faced in the industry and the strategies required to thrive in a global context.
