Celebrate the Holiday Season at WHG Shinjuku
As the holiday season approaches, WHG Shinjuku, encompassing the Shinjuku Washington Hotel and Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, is set to launch an exciting initiative. Starting from December 2, 2025, the hotel will unveil a limited edition Christmas charity ornament for sale, priced at 500 yen (tax included). The ornament’s proceeds are aimed at fostering environmental protection and social contribution.
Charity Ornaments: A Touch of Nature on Your Tree
This inaugural charity ornament is crafted from sustainable domestically-sourced cypress thinning wood, enhancing both aesthetic appeal and environmental responsibility. Buyers will have the opportunity to write their wishes on the ornaments, which can then be hung on a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the lobby, or taken home to adorn their own festive displays. Each ornament you purchase helps contribute to a greater cause, making your holiday decoration meaningful.
The net profits from the sale of these ornaments will support reforestation efforts through the MOTTAINAI campaign, directly benefiting the “Green Belt Movement.” This initiative, originally founded by the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Maathai in 1977, aims to promote sustainable forestation in Kenya and other parts of Africa, with over 50 million trees planted to date. By participating in this campaign, you not only beautify your surroundings but also partake in a larger movement towards ecological preservation and community development.
Indulge in an Exquisite Christmas Dinner
In addition to the charity initiative, from December 19 to December 25, 2025, the ANNEX's Teppanyaki restaurant, “Fujita,” will offer a special Christmas dinner course. Patrons can select from four exquisite dinner courses, each uniquely arranged to reflect the festive spirit. Courses include: “Ruri,” “Moegi,” “Kohaku,” and “Ebizome,” which are all designed to delight the senses with premium ingredients.
Imagine savoring the finest Kobe beef or Yonezawa beef, paired with succulent Ise lobsters and abalone, all expertly prepared right in front of you on the teppanyaki grill. Nestled in the serene atmosphere away from the bustling streets of Shinjuku, diners can enjoy a truly memorable experience while watching the breathtaking sight of chefs in action against the backdrop of a beautifully illuminated courtyard.
The highlight of the Christmas dinner is a particular course named
Xmas2025, featuring a stunning array of dishes including:
1. Clear soup made from Kumano chicken broth
2. A festive appetizer platter featuring yuzu-scented yellowtail carpaccio and Wagyu handrolls with caviar
3. Seared scallops from Hokkaido served with a rich sauce
