Carnival Cruise Line Unveils Innovative Carnival Rewards Loyalty Program

Carnival Cruise Line Unveils Carnival Rewards Loyalty Program

On September 2, 2026, Carnival Cruise Line revealed its groundbreaking Carnival Rewards™ initiative, a first-of-its-kind loyalty program designed to enhance the cruise experience for guests. This innovative program empowers members to earn rewards, achieve status recognition, and enjoy milestone benefits through various activities, making it easier for everyone from first-time cruisers to devoted fans to reap substantial rewards.

Carnival Cruise Line has a rich legacy of crafting joyful vacations for millions over its 50 years in service, and Carnival Rewards seeks to build upon this foundation by introducing a refreshing approach to loyalty programs in the cruise industry. Unlike conventional cruise loyalty programs that typically focus solely on the frequency of sailing, Carnival Rewards unlocks a myriad of ways for guests to engage with the cruise line and reap rewards, as stated by Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy.

"Traditional loyalty programs often emphasize how frequently guests sail with us, but Carnival Rewards is designed to transcend that model. We acknowledge and appreciate the diverse ways guests want to engage with us, providing flexibility and value to ensure they enjoy their most cherished experiences. Simply put: your cruise, your rewards, your way," Duffy emphasized.

Flexible Earning with Carnival Rewards Points

The program introduces Carnival Rewards points that guests can accrue through any qualifying Carnival Cruise Line expenditures, including tips. For every dollar spent, guests will earn 3 points. Additionally, they can earn a point for every casino point retained at the end of their cruise. Rewards points will be credited to guest accounts approximately two weeks post-cruise, allowing for faster redeeming of rewards for future voyages and qualifying onboard experiences like excursions, fine dining, and spa treatments.

Tier Recognition with Qualification Stars

A new tier recognition system based on Qualification Stars not only incentivizes guests to participate in the program but also helps them unlock new benefits. Guests can earn Qualification Stars through qualifying Carnival expenditures and casino activities. There are four tiers:
  • - Red: Initial tier upon registration
  • - Gold: Achieved after earning 10,000 stars
  • - Platinum: Earned after 50,000 stars
  • - Diamond: Achieved at 100,000 stars

The tier status is valid for a two-year accumulation period, and guests will enjoy their tier benefits throughout this timeframe, making the journey toward their newly earned status even more exciting.

Milestone Rewards

The new Milestone Rewards program will honor significant cruising achievements, celebrating guests who reach key milestones—based on their days at sea. This feature recognizes the lifelong connection between the registered Carnival Rewards member and the cruise line, motivating guests to advance through their journey.

Utilizing the Carnival Rewards Mastercard

To further enhance the experience, Carnival has rolled out the Carnival Rewards Mastercard®, allowing cardholders to earn benefits through everyday spending. New cardholders spending $1,000 within three months can earn 50,000 bonus points. Various purchasing incentives allow guests to earn up to 6x points on qualifying Carnival expenditures, creating opportunities to boost their cruise benefits while enjoying their day-to-day lives.

An Exciting Future

Carnival Cruise Line operates under the umbrella of Carnival Corporation (NYSE: CCL), the largest cruise operator globally, providing services across more than 800 ports worldwide. It proudly holds the title of America’s Cruise Line, having welcomed over 6 million guests annually and being the first cruise line to go beyond 100 million guests served since its inception in 1972.

As Carnival prepares for the future, with plans for additional ships launching through 2033, the new Celebration Key destination on Grand Bahama Island, projected to open in 2025, will also join a portfolio dedicated to Caribbean excellence. Carnival Rewards, coupled with the addition of significant new guest experience initiatives, aims to create the ultimate vacation experience for all.
