Launch of the "Industrial Insights" Webinar Series

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is excited to announce the launch of its "Industrial Insights" webinar series, set to kick off in March 2025. This five-part series will tackle the multifaceted challenges that industrial facilities face today, from design and maintenance to disaster resilience. Featuring SGH's in-house experts, the webinars aim to provide actionable insights and knowledge to a diverse audience of facility owners, engineers, architects, and construction professionals.

A Critical Infrastructure Backbone

Industrial facilities are essential for the backbone of modern infrastructure, serving crucial roles in manufacturing, energy production, and more. As the demands on these facilities grow, so too do the challenges of maintaining and enhancing their performance. Christopher Hewitt, SGH Associate Principal, states, "Through this series, we aim to share our expertise and foster meaningful conversations that help address challenges and improve the performance of these critical structures."

Webinar Schedule and Topics

The series consists of five informative sessions, each focused on a specific aspect of industrial facility management:

1. March 5 - Maintaining Existing Industrial Buildings: This session will cover strategies for assessing, maintaining, and retrofitting aging structures.
2. March 19 - Hazards and Resilience of Industrial Facilities: Attendees will learn about mitigating risks from seismic activity, wind, floods, and other environmental factors.
3. March 26 - Inspection, Rehabilitation, Design, and Construction of Marine Structures: This session addresses the unique challenges posed by ports and waterfront facilities.
4. April 1 - Addressing Aging Infrastructure of Pipes and Tanks: Focusing on condition assessments, corrosion prevention, and seismic considerations, participants will gain insights into managing critical infrastructures.
5. April 17 - Designing and Building New Industrial Buildings: This final session will share best practices for creating durable, efficient, and future-ready facilities.

Each of these sessions will include expert-led discussions, real-life case studies, and opportunities for interactive Q&A, ensuring participants leave with practical knowledge applicable to their ongoing projects.
