On July 1, 2025, Octopus Energy will begin supplying green energy to Mercari Stadium, the home of J. League's Kashima Antlers. This initiative marks a significant moment in the collaboration between Octopus Energy and the Kashima Antlers, further advancing their commitment to environmental sustainability. Alongside the stadium, green energy will also be provided to five club-related facilities, promoting eco-friendly practices in the heart of Ibaraki Prefecture.

Utilizing Local Resources for Sustainability

The renewable energy supplied by Octopus Energy includes resources developed by Joyo Green Energy Co., a subsidiary of Joyo Bank. This partnership aims to support local efforts in decarbonization and utilize regional resources effectively. By integrating these sustainable practices into the sports industry, both organizations are taking concrete steps towards reducing their carbon footprint.

In conjunction with the energy supply, the launch of a special power plan named “Shikatako Octopus” is set to take place. This unique plan enables Kashima Antlers supporters to switch their electricity supply to Octopus Energy, contributing to the financial strength and development of the club. Every new contract signed under this plan will result in a ¥5,000 donation to the club, reinforcing the relationship between fans and their team.

Beginning from the same date, various plans under the “Shikatako Octopus” series will be made available for the fans. The series includes:
