Empowering Future Generations: The DOMINISTA CHALLENGE at Dormy Inn Hirosaki
On July 2nd and 3rd, 2026, Dormy Inn Hirosaki will host a unique career experience program for students from Hirosaki City Kitashin Middle School. This program, known as the
DOMINISTA CHALLENGE, aims to immerse young individuals in the diverse world of hospitality, fostering their understanding of potential career paths in this industry.
A Journey into Hospitality
The DOMINISTA CHALLENGE is part of a national effort by Dormy Inn and Kyoritsu Maintenance to provide hands-on experiences to high school and junior high school students. Launched in 2019, this initiative has already partnered with over 100 educational institutions, guiding students as they explore various job roles and understand the significance of work in today’s society. The program offers a dedicated textbook that encapsulates the essence of the hotel industry and the importance of customer service, allowing students to delve deep into the inner workings of hotel operations through practical experiences such as front desk duties and room cleaning.
Understanding the Importance of Career Education
In today’s unpredictable economic landscape, it's vital for children to grasp the meaning and value of work. As local communities face challenges due to declining populations, nurturing a sense of attachment to their hometowns is crucial. The DOMINISTA CHALLENGE provides a platform where young participants can engage with the community, learn the importance of empathy, and discover the joys of working in hospitality. In an era marked by globalization, experiencing service roles in a local setting allows students to appreciate teamwork and build a rich understanding of both their profession and community.
