New Non-Profit GLOW Launches a Database for Government Lawyers' Accountability

GLOW Launches the Government Lawyers Database

A new initiative has emerged to address a significant gap in governmental accountability within the legal profession. GLOW - Government Lawyers Oversight Watchdog, a recently established non-profit organization, is on a mission to ensure that government lawyers uphold their duty to the public and comply with the rule of law. This endeavor was officially announced on November 10, 2025, and marks a pivotal moment in promoting transparency and accountability in the legal roles that support the U.S. Executive Branch.

The Objective of GLOW

GLOW operates as a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating a resource that enables public access to information regarding the professional conduct of government attorneys. This initiative aims not only to champion policies enhancing the ethics and professionalism of these legal representatives but also to restore public trust in their conduct. According to Omri Marian, GLOW's President: "The administration sets policy, but lawyers working for the government have a duty to ensure laws are applied fairly and justly on behalf of all Americans."

Introduction of The Government Lawyers Database

At the heart of GLOW's efforts lies the launch of the Government Lawyers Database, an easy-to-navigate public record accessible at glowlaw.org. This database allows users to search for lawyers by name, license number, or specific court dockets. Each profile within the database includes critical information regarding the lawyer's role in the government, their licensing jurisdictions, and, most importantly, any documented professional misconduct. The misconduct is categorized under various headings including:
  • - Legal or Other Professional Sanctions
  • - Factually Inaccurate Statements
  • - Judicial Criticism or Failure to Follow Court Orders
  • - Frivolous Arguments
  • - Prejudicial Extrajudicial Statements
  • - Conflicts of Interest or Other Misuse of Position
  • - Conduct Undermining the Integrity of the Legal Profession

In addition to areas of misconduct, the database also seeks to honor those lawyers who have displayed integrity and moral courage in upholding the rule of law despite external pressures. GLOW recognizes these individuals as "Defenders of the Rule of Law."

Vision for the Future

Starting with approximately 80 lawyer profiles at launch, GLOW foresees a significant expansion of the database to encompass around 2,000 profiles within the next two years. Over the next five years, GLOW aims to reach approximately 20,000 profiles, continuously updating the database to include insights and expert commentary from professionals specializing in legal ethics.

Valuing Community Participation

GLOW’s initiative thrives on the dedication of volunteers—primarily law students and lawyers who contribute through legal research and writing. As highlighted by Noah Callaway, a GLOW Director, the foundation is designed to create lasting accountability in government legal practices. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous growth and integrity of the database.

Join the GLOW Mission

GLOW invites the public to participate in this crucial initiative by:
  • - Exploring the Government Lawyers Database at glowlaw.org.
  • - Making tax-deductible donations to support GLOW’s mission of accountability and transparency.
  • - Volunteering time and expertise for legal research, writing, or web development.

With transparency and public access at its core, the GLOW initiative represents a proactive approach to fostering responsibility within the government legal framework. As GLOW continues to grow, it aims to play an integral role in shaping a more accountable legal landscape for government attorneys.
