Apex Corporation's Recognition in Asia's Best Workplaces List
Apex Corporation, based in Tokyo, has achieved notable recognition for two consecutive years by being included in the
2025 Asia’s Best Workplaces ranking, announced by the Great Place to Work Institute on August 28, 2025. This year, Apex secured the
55th position, making it the only representative from Japan’s recruitment industry in this prestigious list.
The ranking evaluates organizations across 16 countries in Asia and the Middle East, involving 915 companies and surveying
7.5 million employees—an increase of 600,000 from the previous year. The selection of just 200 companies from this vast pool demonstrates Apex's outstanding reputation as a “Great Place to Work” on an international scale, especially amidst intensifying competition.
In addition to its regional accolades, Apex also made it into the
Top 100 Best Workplaces in Japan, achieving the
9th rank in the medium-sized category. This recognition speaks volumes about the company’s commitment to a positive work culture and employee satisfaction.
The Significance of the Ranking
For more than 30 years, the Great Place to Work survey has assessed companies based on factors such as trust in management, camaraderie among colleagues, and the sense of meaningful work. With a growing number of participants every year, the competition for a spot among Asia’s top companies has become increasingly fierce.
Typically, the organizations that make it to this ranking showcase a high percentage of employees—regardless of job title or employment type—reporting that their workplace is enjoyable. Such organizations not only influence employees’ career choices but also become a benchmark for workplace improvement across various countries. As a result, they play a vital role in enhancing recruitment capabilities and fostering international competitiveness in the Asian landscape.
The Factors Behind Apex's Recognition
Apex currently employs about
150 individuals representing
21 different nationalities, with a female workforce rate of
57% and a foreign national rate of
34%. This remarkable diversity is a rarity among Japanese companies and contributes significantly to fostering a balanced workplace environment. The commitment to respecting each employee's voice and establishing a fair system forms the backbone of Apex’s workplace culture.
The company employs a merit-based evaluation system that focuses on results and capabilities rather than gender, age, or tenure. In 2024 alone,
36 employees received promotions, representing approximately
30% of the workforce. The ascent of a young female employee who was promoted twice within merely two years exemplifies the effectiveness of this structure, corroborated by employees' feedback that
