Logitech to Expand Operations with New Freight Transport Services in Osaka

Logitech Launches New Freight Transport Services

Logitech, a company committed to solving social issues related to work, has taken significant steps to broaden its service offerings. On April 25, 2025, the company obtained authorization from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism to operate general freight transport services. Starting August 2025, Logitech will commence its transport services from its base in Minoh, Osaka.

This new permission allows Logitech to integrate its existing warehouse matching, staffing (drivers and warehouse workers), and logistics personnel development services with the newly added transport services. With this expansion, Logitech can now provide comprehensive logistics solutions, effectively addressing the needs of its clients in one seamless operation.

Service Area and Transport Infrastructure

Logitech has established its transport operations at the following location:
  • - Base: Logitech Osaka Minoh Warehouse, 2-60, Morimachi Nishi 3-chome, Minoh City, Osaka
  • - Transport Fleet: 1 four-ton wing truck, 3 three-ton wide trucks, and 1 van
  • - Delivery Method: Ambient temperature delivery

By leveraging its logistics matching platform, “Logi-Pare,” Logitech collaborates with over 1,500 logistics-related companies primarily in the Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo regions, enabling them to offer flexible transport solutions that are not restricted to owned vehicles.

Aiming for Logistics as a Service (LaaS)

Logitech is on a mission to transition from traditional logistics, where cargo owners must conform to rigid regulations, to a more optimized and customized service model known as Logistics as a Service (LaaS). With the recent authorization for freight transport, Logitech enriches its service portfolio that already includes warehouse matching, personnel staffing, logistics personnel training, distribution processing, and promotional support by adding proprietary transportation services. This allows for a complete end-to-end logistics support that is responsive to on-the-ground demands.

The strengths of Logi-Pare will facilitate swift and adaptable responses to logistics challenges faced by their clients.

Commitment to Driver Safety

As Logitech rolls out its transport services, it prioritizes driver safety by introducing its “Ten Rules for Safe Driving.” This initiative emphasizes enhancing safety awareness and adherence to essential driving practices among its drivers. The ten rules include:
1. Promote the use of wheel chocks during parking.
2. Enter vehicles in a clockwise manner.
3. Adhere to internal speed limits (30km/h, 60km/h, 80km/h).
4. Slow down when pedestrians, cyclists, or children are present.
5. Perform safety checks at intersections.
6. Use hazard lights and open windows during reverse maneuvers.
7. Maintain a calm mindset and drive at a relaxed pace.
8. Dress and act appropriately for driving (clothing, footwear, food, smoking).
9. Show appreciation for vehicles and maintain cleanliness.
10. Drive with the value of human life in mind.

By nurturing a culture of careful decision-making and fundamental practices during daily operations, Logitech believes it is laying the groundwork for safe logistics management. Through these efforts, they aim to earn the trust of the community.
