A significant Salmonella outbreak has emerged, affecting 95 individuals across 14 states, according to information released by the CDC and FDA. On August 28, it was confirmed that a recall was initiated by California-based Country Eggs LLC for their cage-free sunshine yolk eggs sold under the brands Nagatoshi Produce, Misuho, and Nijiya Markets.
The recalled eggs were distributed to grocery stores and food service providers in California and Nevada between June 16 and July 9. Each carton bears the code "CA-7695" and is marked with sell dates running from July 1 to September 16, 2025.
