DB HiTek to Showcase Innovations at PCIM 2026, Strengthening Its European Market Presence

DB HiTek to Showcase Innovations at PCIM 2026

DB HiTek, one of the leading foundries for 8-inch wafers, has announced its participation in the PCIM (Power Conversion and Intelligent Motion) Europe 2026. This premier event for power semiconductors is scheduled to take place from June 9 to June 11 in Nuremberg, Germany, as the company focuses on expanding its foothold in the European market.

After a successful debut at the PCIM 2025, where DB HiTek engaged in face-to-face meetings with numerous clients to discuss advances in process technologies and collaboration opportunities, the company is poised to continue this trajectory. With over 1,000 visitors to its booth last year and ongoing business discussions, DB HiTek anticipates that these connections will yield tangible commercial outcomes in 2026 through sustained partnerships.

This year, DB HiTek will reveal advances in its next-generation SiC (silicon carbide) and GaN (gallium nitride) processes. The company plans to highlight its cutting-edge BCDMOS (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) technology, a cornerstone of its energy management product line. A busy schedule of international client meetings is already in place, reflecting a growing trend of collaboration within the industry.

According to market research firm Yole Développement, global SiC and GaN power semiconductor markets are projected for rapid growth. The SiC market is expected to surge from approximately $4.8 billion in 2026 to $10.4 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21%. During the same period, the GaN market is predicted to expand from $900 million to $2.9 billion, with a CAGR of 33%.

DB HiTek initiated Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) cycles for its SiC and GaN processes in December 2025, producing samples for over ten client products. These samples were delivered between March and April 2026, and evaluations by clients are underway, with feedback being incorporated into the final verification of the processes. Mass production is expected to commence on a large scale by 2027.

Presently, DB HiTek maintains mass production relationships with approximately 400 clients, primarily concentrated on its flagship power semiconductor products. The firm is also collaborating with a diverse base of clients utilizing specialized image sensor technologies, including X-rays and Global Shutter along with Single Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) technologies. Its range of applications is increasingly aligned with industrial and automotive quality products, mirroring the intensifying demand in these sectors.

In summary, as DB HiTek prepares for PCIM Europe 2026, its commitment to showcasing innovative technologies and strengthening partnerships is clear. The company's strategic focus on advancing its SiC and GaN capabilities places it at the forefront of the rapidly evolving power semiconductor market, signaling a promising future ahead.
