XCMG's New Overseas Training Initiative
On June 10, 2025, XCMG Machinery, a leading manufacturer in the construction industry, officially inaugurated its joint overseas training program in Sü-čou, China. This initiative targets Uzbekistan and aims to cultivate technical talents essential for reinforcing the global construction sector.
The program is a pioneering example of the new educational model termed "school-business-school," integration that connects XCMG with local educational institutions in Sü-čou. The overarching goal is to develop talents who can contribute to the expansion of Chinese companies in international markets.
Program Structure
Structured into three phases of 18, 6, and 12 months, the program goes beyond conventional education. It strives to build a global talent ecosystem within the construction sector, seamlessly connecting industry demands with skill training, practical work experiences, and employment opportunities.
Participants will benefit from a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses not only technical education but also language proficiency and hands-on experiences essential for their career development upon graduation.
Yang Dongsheng, the CEO and Chairman of XCMG Machinery, emphasized the company’s commitment to internationalization as a key strategy. He stated, "Global talents are crucial to our vision. By utilizing skill-driven industrial expansion, we are aiming to build a comprehensive, lifelong, and globally integrated service matrix for talent development. This enables us to cultivate professionals with a global perspective, promoting the growth and development of employees worldwide and, ultimately, ensuring success in international markets."
Aligning Education with Industry Needs
The program aligns vocational education with industry requirements, fostering a cooperative framework that strengthens partnerships between academia and the enterprise sector. This synergy is particularly vital for nations like Uzbekistan, which is a strategic market for the Chinese construction machinery industry in Central Asia. In 2014, XCMG established its first manufacturing base in Uzbekistan and has since supplied thousands of products to aid the local mining, agricultural, and various sectors.
Through this initiative, XCMG aims to broaden its impact on local technical education, leveraging the resources of the College of Construction Machinery Technicians in Sü-čou to cultivate talent and advance industry development. In recent years, XCMG has utilized its talent training bases to upgrade the skills of nearly 1,000 technical professionals from 25 countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This effort significantly contributes to the high-quality development of the BRI through the cultivation of a skilled workforce.
Conclusion
With the launch of this overseas training program, XCMG not only reinforces its commitment to international collaboration and talent development but also strengthens its position as a driving force in shaping the future of the global construction industry. For more details about the program, visit
