Nike and Unisport Join Alianza to Empower Hispanic Soccer Players Across the U.S.

In an exciting development for the soccer community, Nike Soccer and Unisport have announced a multi-year partnership with Alianza, the largest Hispanic soccer organization in the United States. This collaboration aims to create expanded opportunities for Hispanic players, clubs, and families across the nation, making significant strides in promoting the sport within diverse communities.

This landmark agreement will see both Nike and Unisport prominently featured at all Alianza Tour events scheduled for 2026. These events will not only include retail activations but also immersive experiential programming for families and participants. The partnership introduces 'Alianza Select,' a new program that offers unique benefits to participating clubs, enhancing the overall experience for players involved. More than 2,500 Alianza participants will receive branded gear throughout the tournament season, further fostering community spirit and engagement.

Heath Pearce, President of 'For Soccer,' the parent company of Alianza, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the long-standing role Alianza plays in the Hispanic community. He stated, “Nike's dedication to growing soccer in the U.S., combined with Unisport's market expertise, makes this collaboration a natural fit for our Alianza family.” Pearce’s comments highlight a shared vision among the partners to nurture talent and support grassroots initiatives that benefit the Hispanic soccer community.

Kick-starting in May 2026, the Alianza Tour will span across eight major cities in the U.S., including Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and Dallas. Anticipated to attract over 27,000 players and 240,000 fans, the event presents match play opportunities for ages ranging from 6 years old to adults. One of the program's highlights is Alianza's Sueño development initiative, which gives aspiring players a chance to be scouted by representatives from various high-profile organizations, including U.S. Soccer, Liga MX, MLS, NWSL, and more.

Nuno Silva, VP/GM of Nike Soccer North America, reiterated Nike's commitment to realizing the dreams of athletes in soccer. He stated, “By collaborating with Alianza and expanding access to the sport, we aim to inspire a new generation of players while continuing to support grassroots efforts.” This approach underscores Nike's pivotal role as a community enabler, striving to cultivate a love for soccer across various demographics.

Michael O'Connor, CEO of Unisport Soccer, remarked on the importance of this partnership, asserting that Alianza provides the most authentic pathway for aspiring Hispanic footballers in the U.S. He highlighted Unisport's mission to make football dreams come true, linking it to the upcoming initiatives at Alianza events. The focus is on enhancing the consumer experience through strategies that connect players and fans, ultimately enriching the soccer community.

As a leading athletic brand, Nike has long been a pioneer in promoting sports and fitness. Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, the company designs, markets, and distributes authentic athletic footwear, apparel, and equipment. Their commitment to expanding participation in soccer aligns seamlessly with Alianza’s goal of empowering Hispanic families through sports.

Unisport, with a strong footing in the European soccer market, merges its expertise with U.S.-based WeGotSoccer, yielding the world’s largest omni-channel soccer retailer. Together with Alianza, it aims to create an inclusive and engaging environment for soccer enthusiasts at all levels.

The collaboration between Nike, Unisport, and Alianza not only symbolizes a commitment to soccer but also serves as a testament to the power of partnerships focused on community development. With events and initiatives aimed at inspiring future generations, this alliance promises to make a lasting impact on the landscape of Hispanic soccer in the United States.
