Carolinas AGC Members Shine at National Construction Awards
Recently, the Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC) proudly celebrated its members who were recognized at the 2026 AGC of America Convention held in Orlando, Florida, in March. The members walked away with two prestigious awards: the
2026 AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) and the
2026 AGC Baldwin Group Build America Awards.
A Focus on Safety and Excellence
The
Construction Safety Excellence Awards are presented to companies that demonstrate outstanding commitment to safety performance, emphasizing both safety and occupational health management. The evaluation criteria for CSEA include risk control measures and the extent of a company's dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
At this year’s awards, notable winners in various categories included:
- - First Place in the Building Division for Over 1.5 Million Hours: Holder Construction
- - Second Place in the Building Division for Over 1.5 Million Hours: Messer Construction Co.
- - Third Place in the Building Division (250,000 - 650,000 Hours): Hood Construction Company, Inc.
- - Third Place in the Building Division (115,000 - 250,000 Hours): Mashburn Construction
Additionally, CAGC members excelled in several heavy and utility infrastructure categories with:

Baldwin Group Build America Awards honor members who develop some of the nation’s most impressive construction projects. Categories span across building, highway and transportation, utility infrastructure, and federal and heavy divisions. Recognized projects included:
