A Milestone in High-Frequency Measurement
Launched on September 11, 2025, the new 250 GHz probe solution combines MPI’s extensive expertise in sub-terahertz probing with the new frequency extenders from Keysight Technologies—specifically the Keysight NA5305A/7A PNA-X. MPI's TITAN™ probes are central to this solution, enabling accurate and high-performance testing critical for the advancement of semiconductor technologies. The inclusion of state-of-the-art four-terminal measurements allows for unmatched precision and reliability, ensuring that developers can push the envelope of existing semiconductor capabilities.
Stojan Kanev, General Manager of MPI's Advanced Semiconductor Test division, emphasized that “MPI has been at the forefront of demonstrating live single-sweep calibration and on-wafer measurements up to 250 GHz in both single-ended and differential modes.” He highlighted that this achievement builds on previous solutions that extended wideband probing capabilities beyond 200 GHz.
Features of the 250 GHz Solution
The new solution is engineered to maximize test accuracy. It includes several key features:

These TITAN™ probes are fully integrated into MPI's probe station platforms, allowing for controlled temperature measurements with minimal user intervention, thus maximizing system repeatability.
