Crayola's Creativity Week and Global Ambassadors
Crayola, the beloved brand known for its vibrant colors and focus on creativity, has made a significant announcement as it gears up for the
2026 Creativity Week. From
January 26 to February 1, Crayola will engage millions of students, educators, and parents across the globe in activities celebrating the power of creativity in education. This year marks the launch of its
Global Ambassador Program, featuring 31 schools from various countries selected to represent the ideals of creativity and innovation in learning.
A Global Initiative
Crayola received over
1,200 applications from schools in
11 countries, including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and more, indicating a robust interest in promoting creative learning. The selected schools reflect a rich diversity of educational practices and a shared commitment to integrating creativity into their curricula. With a total of
127,000 schools participating, this virtual event brings together voices from different parts of the world to offer resources designed to ignite children's imaginative skills.
The Role of Global Ambassadors
The new Global Ambassador Program aims to highlight educators who prioritize creativity as a vital aspect of student development. These ambassadors will share their unique approaches and experiences during Creativity Week, offering practical tips and inspiration for other educators on how to seamlessly incorporate creative experiences into their teaching methods. Their insights will also assist Crayola in enhancing future resources for the program.
Cheri Sterman, Crayola's Senior Director of Education, emphasized the importance of creativity in education, stating, "Creativity is an essential skill for childhood development and lifelong success." By participating in this initiative, ambassador schools will exemplify the positive effects that creativity can have on the learning environment.
Engaging Activities Across the Globe
During Creativity Week, classrooms and homes in more than
140 countries will host daily themed activities that align with various education standards. Teachers will have free access to interactive content created by world-renowned artists, along with resources available in
eight languages. These activities will engage students in not only
literacy and STEAM fields but also encourage social-emotional learning. As a culmination of the week's festivities, Crayola will host a live-streamed school assembly bringing together students and educators worldwide to celebrate the power of creativity.
