Zoomlion Showcases Advanced Solutions at the China-Africa Economic and Trade Fair

In a bid to support African development, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. presented its latest innovations at the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Fair held from June 12 to 15 in Changsha, China. This event marks a significant occasion for the company, which has been instrumental in transforming Africa's industrial landscape since entering the market in 2007.

Zoomlion displayed an extensive range of construction and agricultural machinery specifically designed to cater to the unique requirements of the African market. With over 10,000 machines deployed across the continent over the past 18 years, Zoomlion has firmly established its position as a leading exporter of machinery in Africa.

The product lineup included cranes, agricultural equipment, aerial work platforms, and earth-moving machinery. All these products were developed to meet the performance, quality, and technological standards essential for success in the African construction and agricultural sectors.

In recent years, Zoomlion's commitment to Africa has translated into substantial investments in local partnerships and infrastructures. The company has set up subsidiaries and a robust service network in countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Kenya. A joint-venture factory in Algeria and spare parts centers in Algeria and South Africa further showcase Zoomlion's dedication to enhancing service quality for clients.

Among the company's notable achievements in Africa, its involvement in significant infrastructure projects stands out. Projects like the construction of Egypt's new administrative capital, featuring twenty skyscrapers including Africa's tallest building at 385.8 meters, and the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project in Tanzania, which increased the country's hydropower capacity significantly, underscore its impact in the region. Moreover, the development of the N'Djamena Stadium in Chad and the Rosso Bridge between Senegal and Mauritania exemplify how Zoomlion is fostering closer economic ties within Africa.

The first quarter of 2025 indicated a promising growth trajectory for Zoomlion in Africa, with revenues reaching a remarkable 60% of its total earnings for the entire year of 2024. Notably, more than 300 employees are now part of Zoomlion’s Africa team, with over 90% hired locally, contributing to regional employment and skill development.

As Zoomlion continues to expand its footprint across the continent, it strengthens its role as a key facilitator of Africa's infrastructural and agricultural modernization, promising a brighter future for local markets and communities.
