The 2025 China International Supply Chain Expo Showcases U.S. Growth and Cooperation

The 2025 China International Supply Chain Expo: A Stronger U.S. Presence

The recently concluded third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), held in Beijing from July 16 to 20, showcased a remarkable 15% growth in the number of U.S. exhibitors compared to the previous year. This year, the event established itself as a key platform for global collaboration and innovation in supply chain management.

According to Michael Hart, the President of AmCham China, this year’s expo has proven to be a vital space for communication between businesses from various countries. With a significant percentage of the exhibiting U.S. companies being part of the Fortune Global 500, CISCE highlighted the importance of robust international participation. Notably, technology giant NVIDIA made its first appearance at this year's expo, reflecting the growing interest and investment from American technology leaders.

Enhancing Bilateral Economic Ties

Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), also emphasized the pivotal role of events like CISCE in enhancing economic ties between the U.S. and China. He stated that strengthening personal connections between businesses is crucial at this critical juncture in bilateral relations, encouraging attendees to take concrete steps to bolster supply chain cooperation.

For the first time, AmCham China played an integral role in the expo by setting up its own booth, which allowed member companies to display innovative solutions and seek potential collaborations. Hart praised the 2025 Navigator Program launched during the previous year’s expo, which focuses on cultivating leadership and enhancing cooperation in supply chains.

Shandong Province: A Key Player

One of the session highlights was the spotlight on Shandong Province, recognized as a key player in global supply chain resilience. Since the entry of U.S. investments in Shandong back in 1986, nearly 1,000 American companies have established a foothold in the area, reinforcing its reputation as a vital partner in bilateral trade. Hart remarked, "Shandong is among China’s most dynamic provinces, showcasing strengths in manufacturing, agriculture, and new energy sectors."

The region’s robust industrial ecosystem, coupled with efficient infrastructure and a skilled workforce, has attracted numerous member companies of AmCham China to set up production bases and regional offices. This strategic investment has not only enhanced local economies but also contributed to the stability of global supply chains.

Fostering Global Supply Chain Cooperation

CISCE continues to stand as a crucial venue for companies aiming to explore fresh partnerships and which are eager to engage in discourse around the future of supply chain innovation. This year’s expo served as a reminder of the potential for businesses across borders to work together, driving economic growth and stability in an evolving global market.

With an array of innovative solutions showcased at the event, it’s clear that the future of the supply chain industry is becoming increasingly collaborative. The CISCE platform enables enterprises from various sectors to discover new possibilities and push the boundaries in supply chain logistics.
