Huawei Unveils Xinghe AI Fabric 2.0 for Next-Gen Data Center Innovation

At the inaugural HUAWEI CONNECT 2025 summit, industry leaders gathered to discuss the evolution of data center infrastructure. Under the theme "Driving AI Data Center Innovation for an Intelligent Future," Huawei presented its latest offering, Xinghe AI Fabric 2.0. This advancement marks a significant upgrade from its predecessor introduced in 2018, allowing businesses the capability to create always-on data center networks characterized by full computational power and optimized operations.

With over 600 global leaders, experts, and academics attending, the summit focused on developing sustainable, high-quality data center architectures to harness the immense potential of artificial intelligence (AI). Arthur Wang, President of the Data Center Network Domain at Huawei, delivered a keynote address illustrating how the rapid iteration of AI and evolving cloud architectures are steering data center networks toward a pivotal transformation.

Key Features of Xinghe AI Fabric 2.0

The updated Xinghe AI Fabric 2.0 is structured on a tri-level framework consisting of AI Brain, AI Connectivity, and AI Network Elements. This innovative design integrates several advanced components:

• - AI Brain utilizes the StarryWing Digital Map and NetMaster for streamlined service orchestration, enabling drag-and-drop deployment and automated maintenance across diverse networks and security domains, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.

• - AI Connectivity employs network-scale load balancing algorithms, boosting network throughput by 95% and improving training/inference efficiency by over 10%. The solution is fortified by a three-level reliability technology known as iReliable, enhancing reliability by tenfold.

• - AI Network Elements feature versatile computing switches from the CloudEngine series, intelligent switches from the XH series, and StarryLink optical modules, facilitating precise traffic monitoring and visualization for lost packets and latency. Inherent security features and group-based isolation also contribute to bolstered network security.

Highlights from the Exhibition

Huawei's Data Center Network booth showcased dynamic demonstrations of the tri-layer architecture of Xinghe AI Fabric 2.0, emphasizing the benefits of their integrated approach—"AI for Fabric; Fabric for AI." The display included a complete portfolio of 800GE products like the XH9330 fixed switch, providing 128×800GE ports and XH9320 with 64×800GE ports, among other state-of-the-art equipment. Additionally, the Xinghe liquid-cooled cabinet and the industry’s first 128×400GE liquid-cooled high-density fixed switch marked significant milestones in the ongoing evolution of data center technology.
