Harbin's Summer Music Festival Attracts Thousands to China's 'Ice City'

The city of Harbin, recognized as the 'Ice City' in northeastern China, is also dubbed the 'City of Music' in Asia, recently hosted its 37th Summer Music Festival, drawing an impressive crowd from 39 different countries. This thrilling event, coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China along with the Harbin Municipal Government, commenced on June 27 and offers attendees the chance to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of music.
The festival comprises seven dynamic segments that include opening ceremonies, national-level performances, and a cultural art week under the theme 'Capital of East Asian Culture,' which will continue through September this year. Among numerous highlights are three international music competitions, namely the Schoenfeld International String Competition 2025, the 20th World Saxophone Congress, and the 7th Harbin International Accordion Art Week.
