ENGAWA's Feel Japan Event 2025: Celebrating Japan's Unique Traditions

ENGAWA's Feel Japan Event 2025

On June 20, 2025, ENGAWA Corporation held a special event named "Feel Japan Event 2025" aimed at those in the travel industry. The event took place at the ENGAWA office located in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. This gathering was designed to introduce international travel agents, media, and buyers to lesser-known aspects of Japanese culture and experiences.

The Focus of the Event

The primary goal of the event was to create connections between local governments and partner companies, enabling them to share Japan's undiscovered culture, experiences, and products with the overseas travel industry. Furthermore, participants were able to gather insights into developing unique travel products inspired by the experience-driven tours featured in the special edition of the English lifestyle magazine, "Tokyo Weekender," which highlighted the theme "MADE IN JAPAN Vol.5."

Event Overview

  • - Date: June 20, 2025, at 18:30
  • - Location: Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, 31F (within ENGAWA office)
  • - Target Audience: Importers, commercial traders, retail buyers, procurement officers from hotels and inns, overseas media, travel companies, and others.

Highlights from the Event

The evening began with Callie, the Editorial Director of "Tokyo Weekender," sharing her thoughts on the "MADE IN JAPAN" feature. She expressed the desire to communicate the story behind beautiful products, emphasizing the human narratives involved in craftsmanship. Callie showcased three notable examples of Japanese craftsmanship and initiated a fun quiz about the "Sashiko Gals," who decorate sneakers with a traditional stitching technique. Winners received exclusive merchandise from Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.

Following this, Selin from ENGAWA's new business development department presented the company's newly launched travel service, "Tadaima Tours." She revealed that the inception of this service stemmed from reader requests on travel planning in "Tokyo Weekender." Selin explained diverse experiential programs, such as styling sessions led by fashion designers and cultural tours of trendy spots in Tokyo. This fresh perspective on travel products was well-received, with attendees commenting on its potential to differentiate offerings in the travel market.

Experiential Booths

Attendees enjoyed numerous experiential booths set up by various municipalities and companies. Participants engaged with product samples and tastings while deepening their understanding of different regions and brands. This unique opportunity allowed visitors to experience the diverse charms of Japan through their senses.
