In a remarkable display of corporate strength, Apple has been named the top company on Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies (WMAC) list for the 19th year in a row. This prestigious ranking, now in its 28th year, is compiled in partnership with global consulting firm Korn Ferry and reflects insights gathered from over 3,000 executives, directors, and analysts across various industries.

Leading the list, Apple continues to be recognized not only for its innovative products but also for its strategic management of resources. Aside from the established giants, several companies experienced notable changes in their rankings this year. Companies like Target, PepsiCo, Novo Nordisk, and Adobe fell off the top 50, while new entrants like Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Workday also recognized the booming field of AI to fuel their rise in reputation.
The WMAC list encompasses a total of 324 companies from 22 countries, with the majority (235) hailing from the United States. The methodology behind these rankings draws heavily from criteria such as managerial quality, workplace environment, and brand innovation.

In an encouraging sign of female leadership in business, 10% of the companies in this year’s top rankings are led by women. Some prominent female leaders who feature in Fortune's powerful women's list of 2025 include Julie Sweet of Accenture and Lisa Su of AMD.
