Starting from April 1, 2026, until June 30, 2026, the 'Fukushima MEGURIP' fair will be held as part of the tourism campaign organized by JR East and local entities to showcase the beauty and flavor of Fukushima Prefecture. This event promises to promote the region's rich culinary heritage by featuring seasonal ingredients and unique dishes that highlight local flavors.

One of the standout features of the fair is the introduction of the premium Fukushima rice, "Fuku Warai", renowned for its lovely fragrance and sweetness. Developed over 14 years, this rice has become a top choice among Japan's finest grains, surpassing varieties such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore. Diners will have the chance to savor dishes prepared with "Fuku Warai" at numerous JR East dining outlets across the region.

1. Dishes Featuring 'Fuku Warai' Rice



In collaboration with the Fukushima Agricultural Cooperative, various outlets will add 'Fuku Warai' rice to their menus:
  • - CROSSTIES COFFEE
- Vegetable and Chicken Tomato Curry (April 28 – May 18): Enjoy a hearty curry with zucchini, eggplant, and peppers for 930 yen. The dish features the delightful texture of 'Fuku Warai', elevating your dining experience with its unique chewiness.

  • - Shinjuku CROSSING cafe & Dining
- 100% Japanese Black Wagyu Hamburger Steak (April 28 – May 18): Experience the explosion of flavor with this hamburger steak made from selected cuts of beef. Dine for 1,980 yen, with an option to add a drink set for just 200 yen more.

  • - Soba Ichi
- Breakfast Set (June 10 – June 30): Starting from just 490 yen, enjoy a traditional breakfast with 'Fuku Warai' rice paired with selected soba.

2. Seasonal Ingredients from Fukushima



In partnership with the Fukushima Prefectural Fisheries Cooperative, guests can delight in seafood dishes sourced from local waters:
  • - Grilled Mehikari Fish: A succulent white fish from Fukushima waters, served hot and fresh for only 680 yen.
  • - Anglerfish Tempura: Crunchy on the outside yet juicy on the inside, this dish showcases the rich collagen content for 1,280 yen.
  • - Grilled Pacific Saury: Enjoy the flavors of Iwaki with a grilled fish enhanced by a unique miso and ginger seasoning, priced at 780 yen.

  • - Kue Tama from Namie Station: An exclusive offering featuring a high-quality hybrid fish known for its firm texture and refined taste. Served grilled with a sweet miso glaze at 1,280 yen.

  • - Murozomi Kuro Curry: A delicious dish combining flavors from Fukushima's Murozomi pork and squid ink for 2,480 yen at STATION RESTAURANT THE CENTRAL in Tokyo.
