Unlocking the Future: Exploring Digital Twin Technologies at 4DKanKan Next Akiba '25 Conference

Upcoming Conference on Digital Twin Technology

On May 22, 2025, GeoSign Inc., part of the SAAF Holdings Group, will host the "4DKanKan Next Akiba '25" conference at Fujisoft AKIBA PLAZA in Akihabara, Tokyo. This event promises to showcase the latest advancements and applications of the cutting-edge "4DKanKan" technology, which the company represents exclusively in Japan.

This marks the second installment of the 4DKanKan Next Akiba, following a successful debut in 2024, which attracted around 120 attendees from construction firms, the entertainment sector, academic institutions, and local government agencies. This year, in response to growing interest, the conference venue has been expanded to accommodate approximately 200 participants, with online participation options also available.

The central theme of this year's conference is "Digital Twin" technology. Digital Twins involve the virtual replication of physical objects or conditions within a computer environment, allowing for extensive simulations and monitoring capabilities. Utilizing extensive data collected from the real world, Digital Twin technology enables the creation of simulations that closely mirror physical reality. Recently, the practical uses of this technology have surged across various sectors, including business and government, generating significant attention.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ "Information Communication White Paper 2024," the global market for Digital Twin technology is expected to grow substantially, potentially reaching a scale 63 times larger by 2035 compared to 2022.

The 4DKanKan Next Akiba conference will present the latest technological innovations associated with "4DKanKan," which is being increasingly adopted across various industries. Key presentations will include:

  • - Mister Yofumi Narita from GeoSign, discussing the vision for 4DKanKan and Digital Twin technology within the Japanese market.
  • - Mr. Yan Choi from 4DAGE Technology, sharing insights on the global perspective on 4DKanKan and Digital Twin technology.
  • - Mr. Kanta Miyaguchi from Takenaka Corporation, revealing applications of evolved robot groups in space development within uncharted territories.
  • - Mr. Arashi Asai from Shogakukan Music & Digital Entertainment, detailing the implementation of the 30th-anniversary "Detective Conan" exhibition on the Metaverse platform, S-PACE.
  • - Contributions from professors and solution developers from prestigious universities and other companies, promoting cross-disciplinary dialogue.

Following the conference sessions, an informal networking event will allow participants from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas and insights, fostering new opportunities for innovation and business development.
