Medicilon Awards Excellence in Client Partnership to Revolution Medicines

Medicilon, a leading contract research organization, has recently awarded Revolution Medicines with the prestigious "Excellence in Client Partnership Award". This accolade recognizes the fruitful collaboration and significant advancements made in the field of drug development over their three-year partnership.

On October 30, 2026, Dr. Yang Liu, the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Revolution Medicines, and Dr. Kristof Pota, a Senior Scientist, visited Medicilon’s Research and Development Center located in Nanhui. They were warmly greeted by Dr. Maosheng Duan, the head of Medicilon’s drug discovery and pharmaceutical research departments, alongside Dr. Jian Wang, Vice President of Medicilon, and their dedicated team. The meeting facilitated in-depth discussions regarding the progress of various projects, data sharing, and strategic priorities set for the upcoming year.

During this visit, Medicilon presented the award as a recognition of the substantial clinical value brought by Revolution Medicines’ pioneering work in drug development, particularly focusing on Pan-KRAS targets. The award also highlights the mutual trust and collaborative success demonstrated by both organizations over the years, serving as a remarkable example of bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.

A Strong Foundation Built on Collaboration

Over the past three years, the dedicated FTE team at Medicilon has worked closely with Revolution Medicines. Their collaborative efforts have emphasized client needs while addressing technical challenges in research and development, with the singular goal of delivering high-quality molecules efficiently. This partnership has fostered a model of mutual trust and strong collaboration between the contract research organization (CRO) and its client.

During the award ceremony, Dr. Duan commended Revolution Medicines for its groundbreaking advancements in elucidating KRAS, a target molecule previously considered "undruggable." He congratulated the company on the recent FDA approval of Daraxonrasib for the treatment of metastatic pancreatic cancer, a significant milestone achieved in August 2026 that offers new hope to patients suffering from this challenging condition.

The Excellence in Client Partnership Award is a testament to the trust, commitment, and accomplishments of both teams throughout their collaboration, reflecting Medicilon’s confidence in a deepened and long-term partnership.

Exploring Future Cooperation Opportunities

As discussions progressed during the visit, Dr. Wang outlined Medicilon's growth trajectory and its integrated FE platform, which spans from target molecule discovery to IND application submission. Medicilon's quality system meets international standards, boasting accreditations like NMPA, OECD-GLP, FDA-GLP, and AAALAC. The company’s advanced platforms also support a variety of programs, including ADC/AOC, TPD, RIPTAC, RNAi, and peptide development.

Both parties discussed cross-regional data transfer, project management, future collaboration prospects, and strategies to enhance the efficiency of cross-border research and development initiatives.

Insight into Innovation

Following the discussions, Dr. Liu and Dr. Pota toured Medicilon's state-of-the-art laboratories, including the chemistry and oligonucleotide labs, as well as facilities for active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) development and preclinical research. This provided them with firsthand insights into Medicilon’s R&D infrastructure and quality management systems, further solidifying the collaborative rapport between the two organizations.

This event not only reinforces the significance of their partnership but also paves the way for future advancements in drug discovery and development, marking a new chapter in their ongoing collaboration.
