A Celebration of Science: Summer Chemistry Experiment Show 2025
This August 2nd and 3rd, the renowned "Summer Chemistry Experiment Show for Kids 2025" will take place at the Science Technology Museum in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Hosted by the "Dream Chemistry-21" committee, this event marks the 30th anniversary of an initiative aimed at igniting children's interest in chemistry through engaging and interactive activities.
With
18 unique programs included, the show is designed for elementary school students to explore and enjoy the wonders of chemistry. Attendees will have the chance to
experience, create, and think about science, making this event an exhilarating part of their summer vacation.
Exploring Chemistry Through Hands-On Experience
Visitors can look forward to participating in two main types of activities:
Experiment Programs and
Stage Events. The Experiment Programs, which require registration upon entry, offer a wealth of hands-on experiences under the guidance of chemistry professionals from various companies and organizations. Exciting experiments include creating beautiful stained glass using polarizing sheets, making colorful ocean bottles, and learning about the fascinating world of emulsifications. Each activity promises new insights and caters to a range of interests, making summer research projects more exciting.
Engaging Stage Events
Another highlight of the event will be the interactive Stage Events, such as the popular "Why and What Chemical Quiz Show." This show will feature experiments conducted by teachers from schools and research institutions who will pose fun quizzes during their demonstrations, enhancing the learning experience for families.
Additionally, the great science YouTube channel "GENKI LABO," led by the popular science educator Genki Ichioka, will host live science shows across the two days where audiences can engage in lively quizzes and chemistry-related activities.
