Miral Impact Fund: A New Initiative for Environmental and Social Change in Abu Dhabi

Miral Impact Fund: Pioneering Sustainable Solutions in Abu Dhabi

On December 19, 2025, Miral, prominent for crafting immersive experiences in Abu Dhabi, officially launched the Miral Impact Fund. This initiative is established in collaboration with the Authority of Social Contribution, known as Ma'an, thereby aligning with the government's objective to enhance social responsibility. The purpose of the fund is to drive significant social and environmental initiatives throughout Abu Dhabi, representing a pivotal shift in Miral's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.

The signing ceremony for the establishment of the fund witnessed esteemed personalities such as H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development - Abu Dhabi, and H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Miral. The agreement was formalized by H.E. Abdullah Al Ameri, Director General of Ma'an, and Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, marking a historic venture aimed at fostering responsible growth within the community.

The Miral Impact Fund is structured around four principal pillars: Conservation, Art & Culture, Health & Wellbeing, and Education & Skills Development. These pillars are designed to deliver measurable social impacts through tailored programs and initiatives intended to promote community engagement and environmental awareness.

Focus on Key Pillars

1. Conservation: The Fund aspires to protect natural ecosystems while promoting sustainable practices. An emblematic initiative is the 'Guardians of the Arabian Gulf,' led by the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center on Yas Island. This program focuses on safeguarding marine ecosystems, endangered species, and fostering a new generation of conservation leaders.

2. Art & Culture: This pillar aims to bolster local talent, preserve cultural heritage, and enrich Abu Dhabi’s cultural identity, thereby nurturing creative communities.

3. Health & Wellbeing: A commitment to enhancing community health is at the core of this pillar. The focus will be on preventative healthcare, advocacy for active lifestyles, and mental health awareness.

4. Education & Skills Development: Recognizing the importance of lifelong learning, this aspect of the Fund seeks to nurture talent essential for a knowledge-based economy.

Dr. Mohammad Abdalla Al Zaabi emphasized that this launch is a transformative milestone in Miral's journey towards fostering sustainable destination development and establishing a meaningful legacy. He remarked, "Embedding social responsibility within our business operations has been part of our ethos. The establishment of the Miral Impact Fund marks our evolution from CSR intentions to tangible actions. By synchronizing with Abu Dhabi’s Vision 2030, we can direct our collective contributions towards generating real social and environmental impacts."

H.E. Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri from Ma'an echoed the sentiment, highlighting the Authority’s role in facilitating connections between the corporate sector and critical community projects. This partnership not only supports the private sector in achieving its CSR aspirations but also ensures that contributions genuinely benefit the community and the environment.

Governance and Transparency

The governance of the Fund is set by a joint steering committee from Miral and Ma'an, supplemented by an advisory group to oversee transparent management of contributions. This will ensure that funds are utilized effectively, adhering to the transparency and ethical standards expected by the community. Key members of the committee include prominent figures from both organizations, enabling a robust framework for decision-making and strategy execution.

In conclusion, the Miral Impact Fund invites organizations, partners, and individuals to unite in building a more sustainable future in Abu Dhabi. Contributions and proposals can be made through the Fund’s dedicated webpage, reflecting a collaborative approach towards achieving sustainability goals within the community.
