The Second Workshop for AI Utilization in PR and IR Departments
Company Overview
Nikkei BP Consulting, based in Minato City, Tokyo, is poised to host the second workshop aimed at enhancing AI utilization within PR and IR divisions. Scheduled for November 7, 2025, this workshop promises to be an advancement from its initial session held in July, which laid the groundwork with an introductory exploration of AI applications in corporate communications.
Thematic Focus on AI Agents
The upcoming workshop, titled "Corporate Communication Strategies in the AI Agent Era," will feature groundbreaking examples from Lion Corporation and the latest insights from GenerativeX. Additionally, participants will gain access to preliminary findings from our second survey regarding the state of generative AI within PR and IR sectors.
Context of the Event
The year 2025 is being referred to as the year of the AI agent, signaling a pivotal shift from simply assisting users through dialogues to executing autonomous business tasks. Companies in the PR and IR sectors are compelled to adapt to these changes swiftly, as speed and quality of information disclosure are becoming critical to maintaining competitive advantage. The gap between organizations that successfully leverage AI agents and those sticking to traditional methods is widening.

The upcoming workshop will enrich this knowledge by focusing on practical applications drawn from award-winning implementations by Lion Corporation and insights from several industry experts.
Recent Trends in AI Utilization
Our second survey conducted from September 3 to October 31, 2025, sheds light on how AI adoption has evolved in this space.
Key findings indicate that 94% of PR and IR professionals are integrating generative AI in some capacity, with formal organizational adoption increasing significantly—33.3% confirmed full implementation, up from 22.5% in the previous survey. Popular tools being used include ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Gemini.
The survey also identified a significant emphasis on creativity and the unique abilities of humans in managing AI output, highlighting a strategic shift in roles as automation takes over routine tasks and human effort transforms into strategic value creation.
With ongoing interest in AI agents, the workshop will not only present these revelations but also discuss practical strategies for enhancing operations through generative AI.
