IDnow Partners with Keyless to Enhance Digital Identity Security and Trust Lifecycle
IDnow and Keyless: A Partnership for Enhanced Digital Trust
IDnow, a prominent identity verification platform in Europe, has recently announced a strategic collaboration with Keyless, a pioneering company known for its privacy-compliant biometric authentication solutions. This partnership marks a significant leap forward in securing digital identities throughout their lifecycle, ensuring continuous trust and reliability in digital interactions.
In the wake of increasing digital interactions, organisations are faced with sophisticated fraud techniques, such as deepfakes and AI-driven scams. Recognising the urgent need for secure and intuitive identity solutions, IDnow aims to foster trust at every touchpoint of the digital experience. This objective aligns seamlessly with Keyless' innovative biometric authentication approach, which prioritises user privacy by not storing any biometric data.
"Trust today is not a one-time verification; it is an ongoing process," stated Andreas Bodczek, CEO of IDnow. By partnering with Keyless, IDnow enhances its capabilities to combat emerging fraud methods in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring that digital identities remain secure and trustworthy through their entire lifecycle.
The Integration of IDnow and Keyless Technologies
As part of this strategic alliance, IDnow’s identity verification solutions and digital signature technologies will be combined with Keyless’ biometric multi-factor authentication (MFA). This integration introduces the concept of “Continuous Trust.” During high-risk actions, like changing personal information or account recovery, the biometric feature recorded by Keyless for authentication will be verified against the biometric data captured by IDnow at the time of registration.
Keyless is renowned for its ability to perform MFA in less than 300 milliseconds by verifying both the user’s face and the device used during registration. This process is coupled with a cryptographic method that transforms all biometric data into a non-personally identifiable format (non-PII), thus safeguarding user privacy. By merging the strengths of both solutions, companies will gain a forward-thinking option that can adapt to new threats, evolving user behaviors, and changing regulatory requirements.
"A common question we receive is whether users have to register twice—once for identity verification and once for Keyless," mentioned Fabian Eberle, COO and Co-Founder of Keyless. "Until recently, the answer was yes. However, thanks to our partnership with IDnow, users can now intuitively register with Keyless during the IDnow verification process. This marks a crucial step in reducing friction."
Target Industries and Future Directions
This collaboration is particularly relevant for sectors where security and compliance are paramount, such as banking, fintech, and healthcare. By integrating their respective technologies, IDnow and Keyless offer a scalable and intelligent trust framework that not only meets current regulatory standards but also has the flexibility to adapt to future challenges.
