Understanding the Galvano Scanner
One of Canon MJ's innovative offerings is the galvanoscanner, a device crucial for controlling the direction of laser light for precise targeting. This scanner consists mainly of mirrors that reflect laser light, motors that rotate these mirrors, and drivers that control the angle and speed of the motor's rotation. The configuration of mirrors and motors is determined by the wavelength and thickness of the laser light used. The system typically comprises two mirrors and motors working in tandem, which allows for laser light to be accurately directed to chosen positions on a two-dimensional plane. While the principle may seem simple, the requirements for precision and performance in each component are exceptionally high.
Applications of Galvano Scanners
Galvano scanners are employed across various applications, including 3D printing techniques such as photopolymerization and metal sintering, engraving text or designs with laser markers, as well as welding and cutting processes. They are also used for precision measurement under microscopes and for remote welding with robotic arms.
