On August 28, 2023, Smilegate Megaport announced a significant update for their mobile RPG, Epic Seven, celebrating its 8th anniversary. This update introduces a thrilling new side story titled "Paradise Lost," along with several new playable characters and a wealth of bonuses for players.

New Side Story: "Paradise Lost"

The centerpiece of this anniversary update is the new side story, "Paradise Lost." This narrative is set in the early years of the Epic Seven universe, and it explores the human life of the notorious villain "Chiron." What makes this addition particularly captivating is its full voice acting, elevating the immersive experience for players.

Meet the New Hero: Lizette

Joining the roster of characters is Lizette, a fresh Moonlight Hero who plays a vital role in the "Paradise Lost" storyline. As part of the goddess "Dieche," who has descended in human form to prevent the destruction of the world, her story unfolds through great sacrifice. Lizette's unique skills reflect her divine attributes. At the start of battle, she gains four "Sacred" points, which can be consumed for reviving allies upon their defeat. This adds a strategic twist to gameplay, especially when using her skill "Converging Time," which can reverse the state of her allies back to their initial condition during player-vs-player encounters.

Improved Auto-Running Function

In addition to new narratives and heroes, several enhancements have been made for user convenience. The auto-run feature, dubbed "Auto-Continue," now allows players to progress in battles even while offline, ensuring rewards accumulate effortlessly. Furthermore, automatic equipment selling and extraction features have been introduced to streamline equipment management for players.

New PvP Content: "Call of Chaos"

For competitive players, a new mode called "Call of Chaos" has been added to the real-time PvP content, "World Arena." This mode introduces fast-paced battles with casual ban/pick mechanics. Players assemble teams of three heroes to compete against others, aiming to destroy the opponent's "Guardian" first. The unpredictable "Fate" effects chosen during battles make each match uniquely challenging.

Celebrating with the INFINITY∞ Event

From August 27 to October 29, 2023, players will have the opportunity to engage in the 8th-anniversary celebration event, offering lavish rewards. Each player can enjoy up to 1,260 free covenant summons over the event duration. As part of the celebration, all players will receive a Bunny Girl skin for "New Moon Luna," who won the popular hero vote in 2025, simply for logging into the game. This year, another hero popularity poll will allow players to earn "8th Anniversary Coins" for exchanging various rewards, including ★5 hero summoning books and exclusive anniversary illustrations.

Moreover, players can participate in the "Brilliant Moments" event, which allows them to accumulate points by completing missions that reflect on the 8-year journey of Epic Seven. Exclusive rewards, such as limited ★5 hero selection books and various growth items, are available based on accumulated points.

The 8th-anniversary update for Epic Seven commenced its rollout on August 27, 2023, and promises to provide both new and veteran players plenty of content to explore.
