Domino's Pizza Initiative for Children's Shelters
Domino's Pizza Japan, under the leadership of CEO Dieter Harbel, recently executed its beloved "Free Pizza for Community Support" initiative on December 29, 2025, and again from January 5 to January 12, 2026. This program aims to bring joy and nourishment to children living in shelters and other community support organizations.
Since its inception in April 2020, the initiative has provided over 570,000 pizzas to various institutions, including child care centers and nursing facilities, showcasing Domino's commitment to enhancing the lives of those who contribute to society. During this recent campaign, they partnered with the non-profit organization YouMeWe to deliver warm pizzas to 19 different groups of children and young adults, creating opportunities for meaningful connections.
The Mission of YouMeWe
YouMeWe is dedicated to supporting young people who require social care, especially as they transition to independence when they turn 18. Founded in 2018, this nonprofit organization addresses multiple challenges faced by children living in orphanages, including stable education and career preparation. Their outreach extends not only across Japan but also into countries like the Philippines, Brazil, and Ghana.
