Conterra Networks Welcomes Mark Gossett as Chief Financial Officer
In a strategic move to bolster its executive team, Conterra Ultra Broadband Holdings, Inc., a frontrunner in fiber-optic network services, recently announced the appointment of Mark Gossett as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With a wealth of experience spanning over 18 years in corporate and public accounting, particularly in telecommunications, Gossett's leadership is set to propel the company towards its ambitious growth targets.
Gossett's career journey began in October 2018 when he joined Conterra Networks and has since embraced various leadership roles. Prior to his new position, he served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, and later as Vice President Controller, where he honed his skills in managing financial strategies and fostering corporate growth. Most notably, he acted as the Interim CFO, a role that laid the groundwork for his formal appointment.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Gossett stated, “I am very excited to take on the role of CFO at Conterra Networks and work with the team to continue to drive growth, expand the reach and impact of Conterra’s networks, and deliver exceptional service for customers.” His commitment to growth aligns with Conterra's mission to enhance its position as a leading provider of high-capacity communications networks across the United States.
Craig Gunderson, President and CEO of Conterra, expressed his confidence in Gossett’s capabilities, stating, “We are thrilled to promote Mark to CFO. His industry knowledge, understanding of Conterra, and extensive finance experience will be instrumental in driving Conterra's continued growth and success.” This leadership change is also reflective of the company’s ambitions to innovate and respond to the evolving demands of the telecommunications landscape.
Conterra Networks is renowned for its comprehensive fiber-optic solutions, catering primarily to telecommunication carriers, educational institutions, and commercial clients. With an impressive network stretching over 14,000 route miles and over 8,000 on-net locations, the company is well-equipped to deliver low-latency and high-bandwidth communications applications. Its expansive infrastructure represents a commitment to providing secure and flexible network solutions that meet the diverse needs of its customer base.
As a company with strong ties to affiliates like APG and Fiera Infrastructure, Conterra is strategically positioned for financial robustness and operational scalability. APG, the largest pension provider in the Netherlands, oversees the pensions of approximately 4.6 million participants, while Fiera Infrastructure actively invests in various sectors, including telecommunications. This financial backing adds credibility to Conterra's initiatives and underscores their potential for substantial growth.
The appointment of Mark Gossett marks a new chapter for Conterra Networks, building upon its existing strengths as it navigates the dynamic landscape of fiber-optic services. As the company continues to expand its network capabilities and enhance customer engagement, Gossett's financial acumen will play a crucial role in steering Conterra towards long-term success and innovation in the telecommunications field.
