Experience Traditional Japanese Culture at NAKED's Art Tea Room in Kyoto Station

Immerse Yourself in Kyoto's Culture with NAKED’s Workshops at NIWA

Starting on March 3, 2026, NAKED, INC. will launch a series of cultural workshops every Tuesday and Thursday at their art lounge, NIWA, located within Kyoto Station. This immersive experience will take place in the "Kiwa" art tea room, where traditional Kyoto culture meets modern art. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a hands-on workshop that will deepen their understanding of Kyoto's rich heritage.

A Unique Cultural Experience

With these workshops, you can experience the essence of Kyoto culture by creating wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) and preparing matcha tea. This one-hour program is a comprehensive introduction to these iconic elements, allowing participants to transform from mere observers to active creators. The step-by-step guidance provided by expert instructors ensures that even beginners can feel comfortable and capable.

The workshop includes:
1. Wagashi Creation - You will learn how to mold and shape seasonal wagashi with hands-on instruction.
2. Matcha Tea Preparation - The instructor will teach you the basics of preparing matcha, guiding you through each step carefully.
3. Enjoying Your Creations - Finally, you will have the chance to taste the wagashi you've made, accompanied by a freshly prepared cup of matcha. Photos are welcome, so don't forget to capture the moment!
