TSP Taiyo Corporation Seals Agreement for Regional Revitalization Efforts

TSP Taiyo Corporation Partners with Shirahama Town for Regional Revitalization

On May 30, 2025, TSP Taiyo Corporation, headquartered in Meguro, Tokyo, finalized an agreement with Shirahama Town under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ regional revitalization entrepreneurship program. This collaboration aims to enhance public relations activities and strategic planning to boost community development. By leveraging local tourism resources, they intend to organize continuous events to not only promote the charm of Shirahama but also address various challenges facing the town through diverse initiatives.

Among the notable representatives during this agreement signing were Kyoko Kototsuka of TSP Taiyo Corporation and Yasuhiko Oe, the mayor of Shirahama Town. TSP Taiyo has previously rolled out initiatives in the region that foster community engagement and offer learning opportunities, such as the “Nanki Shirahama Work Experience Tour.” This project is designed for both adults and children, expanding the community's network through hands-on experiences. Additionally, TSP Taiyo has contributed to the “Panda Bamboo Art Project” by creatively utilizing around 5,000 bamboo stalks leftover from panda meals at Adventure World, thus enhancing public awareness and appreciation of local art.

The Concept Behind Regional Revitalization Entrepreneurs

Introduced in 2014, the regional revitalization entrepreneur system strives to enhance local capabilities and rejuvenate rural areas. Under this framework, corporations based in the three major metropolitan regions are permitted to send employees to local governments for a set period. These employees apply their expertise to engage in projects designed to improve the unique charm and value of various regions, thereby contributing significantly to community revitalization.
