GCAPP Successfully Completes Impact 2025 Plan, Empowering Over 637,000 Youth in Georgia

GCAPP Completes Impact 2025 Strategic Plan

In a significant achievement for youth health initiatives, the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP) proudly reports the successful completion of its five-year strategic plan known as Impact 2025. Launched in 2021, this ambitious initiative was designed to enhance the health and well-being of adolescents throughout Georgia, and the results have been nothing short of impressive.

With a goal to empower young individuals to make informed, healthy life choices, GCAPP's Impact 2025 has reached an astounding 637,841 adolescents across the state. This outreach was made possible through the establishment of 133 new partnerships and collaborative efforts in 80 counties. The impact of this plan underscores the commitment of GCAPP to fostering an environment in which youth can thrive and develop into healthy, responsible adults.

Dr. Ronald McNeill, the President and CEO of GCAPP, expressed his pride in the organization’s accomplishments, stating, "Impact 2025 was more than a plan—it was a promise to Georgia's young people. Together with our partners, communities, and youth leaders, we turned that promise into measurable impact, helping young people build healthier futures and stronger communities."

The success of Impact 2025 can be attributed to a variety of innovative programs and initiatives that were tailored to meet the needs of adolescents, parents, and professionals. A notable aspect of this strategic plan was the introduction of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), which played a pivotal role in amplifying young voices and ensuring that their needs were effectively addressed in health education. Other significant initiatives included The Eban Project and the Parent Toolkit, which focused on increasing access to health resources and fostering informed decision-making among youth.

Moreover, GCAPP emphasized the importance of community collaboration throughout the implementation of this plan. By bringing together educators, healthcare providers, and community leaders, GCAPP was able to create a united front that addressed the continuously evolving needs of young people. This collective approach has furthered GCAPP's mission to be a leading voice in adolescent health within Georgia.

Dr. McNeill summarized the organization’s broader vision: "This work is about more than numbers; it's about creating opportunities for young people to thrive. We believe in equipping them with the knowledge and support they need to lead healthy, successful lives."

As GCAPP celebrates the successful completion of Impact 2025, the organization is setting its sights on the future with the launch of its next initiative, Healthy Life 2028. This ongoing commitment aims to deepen the impact on Georgia's youth, improve health outcomes, and continue fostering an environment conducive to youth development.
