2026 Entrance Ceremony at the Business Concept Graduate School

On April 4, 2026, the Business Concept Graduate School (BCGS), headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, held its entrance ceremony, connecting five campuses across the nation: Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sendai. This year's ceremony welcomed 135 new graduate students, who are embarking on a journey of practical learning in business conceptualization.

The ceremony was simultaneously broadcast from all five campuses, with a central focus on the Tokyo campus. This year’s incoming cohort includes individuals from diverse sectors, industries, and regions, all driven by a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to society. As representatives of their respective campuses, students who took the oath at the ceremony have substantial professional experience and a clear sense of purpose motivating their enrollment.

Among them are students dedicated to human resource development at a regional bank, aspiring to foster local value creation. Others work in financial institutions aiming to generate businesses that resonate with the community, manage wood processing companies while advocating for sustainable industry, or provide medical services while considering business succession and diversified operations. Each student brings unique insights and ambitions from various fields, creating a vibrant learning environment at BCGS.

The campuses are spread across key locations in Japan:
  • - Tokyo Campus: Minami Aoyama
  • - Osaka Campus: Grand Front Osaka
  • - Nagoya Campus: JR Gate Tower
  • - Fukuoka Campus: JRJP Hakata Building
  • - Sendai Campus: JR East Gate Building

Remarks by President Risa Tanaka

In her address, President Risa Tanaka extended heartfelt congratulations to the incoming students on this refreshing spring day. "It is truly inspiring to witness a diverse group of motivated individuals from various regions and fields taking this significant step forward. Our curriculum is grounded in the principles outlined in the book 'Fundamentals of Business Concept' by Chairman Hiyoshi, focusing on systematic learning through ideation, planning, communication, and implementation. This approach aims to cultivate the creativity necessary to solve societal challenges.

Let this comprehensive network and practical learning environment empower you to turn your ideals into reality as you navigate your development over the next two years. We hope this period will become a major turning point in your lives, and the faculty and staff are here to support you completely."

About the Business Concept Graduate School

Established in April 2012 in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo, the Business Concept Graduate School provides a platform for working professionals to develop and implement business concepts. The school engages students in a curriculum designed to foster ideation from the root of a business, formulate ideal concepts, and weave together ideas to construct actionable business plans.

With varied topics studied in collaboration with faculty and fellow students from different industries, the program culminates in the submission of a business project plan over two years, leading to the conferral of a Master’s degree in Project Design (MPD). The school operates five campuses in total, with 967 graduates having completed the program, resulting in numerous innovative new businesses being launched. Additionally, through its research institute, the Business Concept Research Institute, the school actively engages in project-based research, having graduated over 4,500 students and published various research materials, including the monthly journal 'Business Concept'.
